I have a CZ scorpion Evo on the way, and will be running my Octane 9 on it.  What is the best mounting option, 3 lug, or direct thread?

Thanks

The best is very relative term, I would rather have 3 lug, its a little longer but more secure and you don't have to keep checking to make sure its tight.

I run my Octane direct thread.   But my Evo came with the original funky Euro threading and requires an adapter.  Between adding length and concerns over potential tolerance stacking, I just went direct thread.  Works fine.

If you don't need to use the can on multiple weapins, go with 3 lug. I use direct thread for use with many weapons.

3-lug is king. There's scarcely a simpler, faster, cleaner, more universal QD system.

i 3-lug my octane with the giffin adapter and hk parts 3-lug mount.

it's shorter than if i did a direct thread, actually..  since the griffin adapter is almost flush with the back of the can

3 lug is the answer you seek.

I prefer 3 lug to direct thread if given the option.

Direct thread with 13.5x1 LH threads has worked great for me, but I had a direct thread 1/2x28 RH thread that would not stay tight, so I converted to 3-lug.
IMHO - If I were going to remove it on a regular basis, I'd go 3-lug. If it had the Euro LH threads and were going to stay on the gun, I probably wouldn't spend the money to convert.
