DA doesn't offer DT adapters for the QD versions, unless I've missed it. That would/could put any aftermarket piece into the "silencer part" category since yiu currently can't buy them separately. If it physically can be done, I have no doubt Howard could pull it off. Just don't think it's anything he would tackle at this point. Plus, I don't believe he's done anything for the Griffin taper design, so he'd have to start fresh on that as well. |

Thanks, I see what you mean.

Can someone send me Howard’s info please?
Thank you |

I think it would be cool and entertainingly ironical if Howard could make some adaptors for omegas/sakers for Q Cherry bomb muzzle devices and tapered barrels.

The real question, assuming the item is truly an accessory and doesn't require an FFL, is whether or notthe item be worth the time/money for a one-off piece. If there was a demand for it, or you wanted to buy multiples, maybe so... |

If somebody had one to send him, I don't see why he couldn't do it. Just don't know how long it would take.

Just FYI for anyone looking, he's been basically shut down for the last couple months. Supposedly too slammed with his other real job to fulfill any new orders.

May I please have his contact info?
Anyone heard anything recently? Alternatively, are there drawings / CAD files that have been shared for adapters (saw it mentioned that DM shared some)? have a machinist in the fam. Guess I could grab my DT adapters from SOT and just have them re-created. Also have a WO blast shield for YHM to get the mount on that but files would make it really simple. I'd like to get a Ti YHM short adapter, Ti 1/2 DT, and possibly a Ti 5/8 DT. Might even be interested in a Ti griffin adapter. |

I've been waiting since February for an Omega end cap. As others have said, he must be very busy with his normal work. I have heard nothing from him since he emailed me in March to tell me it will be a little longer.

I'll be somewhere down in Texas if you're lookin' for me...

could I please get contact info? Thanks!

Figured I'd share this...emailed back and forth with Howard today about some stuff and he gave me this general update to share.
I am finally getting to work on the suppressor parts again and have about 100 people waiting on end caps and adapters. Spending the day doing invoices and address labels and over due payments. What a crazy year at work so far, we have not been this busy for this amount of time in years. Hope all is well. So...hang in there. He'll take care of it as soon as possible (just not sure when that is). And I think he's been shipping before payment received. So, please send payment in a timely manner...if for no other reason than he can spend his timing making stuff instead of collecting balances!! |

Has he made a DT adapter with wrench flats for anyone?

Does he send address for a check, or take PayPal or some other method? I don't mind paying in advance even if there is a long wait, I'm just not clear at this point how I'd do that with the brief reply I got back in early May. No need to post private info, just curious if I can learn the preferred process without bugging Howard. View Quote Unless he has added a PayPal option, which somebody else may be able to confirm. But...the reason we talked today was he replied to the wrong email when he was contacting somebody about a balance, and it included nothing more than the amount and a mailing address (as far as payment info goes). |

So, according to this thread, Howard can make me a 51T adapter and Ti flat caps on 556 and 7.62 for a SiCo Omega?
So if I have a ton of AAC mounts, I can order an Omega sans any mounting equipment except for a direct thread module and Howard can hook me up with the rest making my Omega can lighter and shorter? |
|
From the days when all the gun rags touted the RRA DEA rifle as the greatest ever. Those were the days when Magpul made magpuls, Bushmaster was Tier 1, Eotechs and vertical grips were awesome!

So to reiterate Howard doesn’t make a 51t mount just an adapter to fit the Omega to the Saker MAAD mounts as they are a different thread then the Omega. View Quote |

The $10 accessory Griffin Revolution wrench has a 3-lug opening as well as buffer tube castle nut wrench. I modified that to lock on Octane fixed mounts and it still engages castle nuts. I needed it to use it on the scalloped Griffin 3-lug mount as well.
Don't mean to hijack the thread, but you may find this useful until you get a purpose built tool made. |

Choices are good.
The other thread shows Q's ASR thread compatible mount and brake weigh 3.5oz. Repeating my KB-inspired comment here: DM's Ti Tapermount for ASR threaded tubes paired with Griffins minimalist Ti brake is only 2.3 oz compared to KB's bloated 3.5oz setup with the fugly coffee percolator-filter brake. Looks like something from an Italian road racing bicycle from the 70s all drilled out Super Legere. But I'd buy it just because I love the look of H900 17-4. Just like with Key Mo and Area 419 I think this is a great idea. People stay within suppressor family often because of mount monotony. Cross pollinating mounts and cans opens this up. Looking forward to seeing the street price. |
