I need info as well.

This is the big thread, so to clarify: I can get a hybrid direct thread adapter and end caps from him in titanium and significantly cheaper than the sico parts correct?

Info too, please.

Looking to get a couple flat end caps in .30 cal and 5.56 for Omega.

And for the 100th time could you send me the contact info for some hybrid caps.

Thanks

Hi- Any chance I could get the machinist's contact info?  I'd really like to get an asr blast shield or 2 when he starts making them.  My 8" 300 blkout is crazy loud b/c I'm using the asr brake to preserve the can.  My 12.5" 5.56 isn't nearly as bad.  I saw someone say that SiCo is really good about working with people that wear out their baffles, but I'd like to preserve it for a shtf situation where that wouldn't be an option.  Thank you!

If possible, I would also like the contact information.  I am in need of a couple of different end caps.

Thanks

Got a fixed barrel adaptor and end cap for my hybrid today, they look great and the price is excellent.

Created an account after finding this thread. Please PM contact and ordering details @BigWaylon. I'm in need of a 30 cal endcap and 5/8x24 direct thread mount.
And of course in the new black finish he's using.

Are all the end caps using that new mounting pattern? Does it come with a wrench for them?

As far as I know, all the new ones are black. You're welcome to ask him that question when you contact him.

Thank you very much.

Anyone know what the current lead times are?

Update from the machinist.

"The end caps are $45 each shipped and the direct thread adapters are $70 each shipped.  I am making more end cap and they should be back from getting coated in a couple of weeks.  The DT mount is in stock."

His response about tool compatibility.

"The end cap was designed to work with the 3 pin wrench for the sakar and omega."

Anybody have a good idea how to break red loctite loose on the threads? I have a heatgun and a vice available. Heatgun can get up to 480F. I was thinking about putting a wet rag around the steel parts, and apply the heat directly to the threaded part to try to expand the titanium part while keeping the steel part from expanding.

I figured out a good way to do it myself. Used my electric stove top to melt it, popped right off with a bit of elbow grease.

Big Waylon,
Could you send contact info? I'm interested in the DT and End Caps. I have both Omega and Hybrid. From reading the thread I understand these parts fit both?

Thanks

Just got my hybrid in today.  Just curious if there is an appreciable difference when using a 5.56. 308, or 9mm end cap as compared to the factory 46 endcap?  Which are worth buying?

I just had visions of titanium parts for my Z.  But I can't afford to go down that rabbit hole.

As for the Omega mounts and such I don't mind waiting for quality I can afford.

That's it.

Probably be faster if you didn't want it black, but he can send it off if you want. Best I recall he ended up being charged per piece, not per batch, so he doesn't have to wait and send hundreds at a time.

Last I corresponded with Howard, he was behind on "regular" stuff like .308 caps, .223 etc, in addition to his regular day job. Might be a bit of a wait to get custom sizes & thread-pitches, but he told me he could do it.
