Kevin Brittingham shared some pictures on his IG of an old Ops M16 can with the collar that indexes off the bayonet lug. Very cool setup.

What's the max handguard length I can run for an aem5 on a 14.5 barrel?

Will the collar go under the ris to allow it to be flush like a FF RAS? I've never paid much attention to that part of the ris lol. |

Anyone know of someone making the repro collars for the Gordan carbine with an AEM5? I've been seeing a few pop up on builds.

Contact 19 Charlie tactical. I used the contact us form on their website and they made me a custom collar which indexes off the fsb. Built it from dimensions I took from my barrel and a sketch I made. Finish looks very nice and it slipped on the barrel perfectly. Haven’t trimmed my bayo lug yet to completely mount it yet though.

Pay no attention to the magwell engraving - it's my only stamped lower, and at this point has like 4 different short uppers in the rotation. |

Heat wasn't a big issue since the pri is CF but the bolts to hold on the rail panels would touch the can every now and then under recoil. Could trim them more I suppose. |

@Eyekahn, if you ever split that up, I'd be interested in the M4 collar.

Because I already had a collar and got an extra one and it didn’t fit over the Grendel barrel. So I’m wondering if I have the wrong collar or if my BA barrel is off. When I slip it on it only catches on a small part of the barrel because I can see light through all the other sides except for one bit of barrel. |

View Quote I am not the brightest lightbulb in the chandelier, but damn, man. Why are asking about a barrel that should not be in the same sentence as an AEM can? You just want the answer to be different, but is not. My wife drove around in the snow last weekend on a country road during a snow storm with those “high performance” (summer) tires and called me when she for stuck in a parking lot. I asked why she did not drive the car with snow tires? She just wanted to drive that two seat convertible. Great car. Wrong season. 🤷♂️ |

Just a heads up. Due to a growing backlog, I won't be taking any more suppressor orders until further notice. Brake and collar orders only .

Gonna send an email request for a couple of collars. Do you have brakes to go with those collars (once the collars are made)? |

@k31user
1) Pick a quality A2 FSP barrel 2) Shave the lug 3) Send measurements to Ron for custom M4 collar 4) Install collar I now have the 12.5 barrel with lugless FSB. What dimensions do you need from me to make a collar to attach my OPS Inc Mk12? Thanks, uxb |

You should refurb one of those boats uxb was on when he got a lift from some guys who weren't really there to where he wasn't going from where he never was. - Kitties with Sigs

I had to learn that lesson the hard way when the first collar Ron made didn't fit because my cheap Harbor freight said one thing and it wound up being way off. Used a micrometer for the second collar and those measurements fit like a glove. |
