This may sound idiotic, but I'm a complete can rookie.
Should I ever clean my aem5? Like blasting it out with brake cleaner? |

Again, I’m very appreciative of Ron for letting me borrow his meter and for the use of the AEM5s. These are some of the quietest setups available and are truly a pleasure to shoot.

I'll try the new baffle stack on an AE30 first section and compare it to the standard AE30 on .308 and the various 6.5's. Dropping an inch or so in length would be nice since it's probably not needed until you get up into the .300 WinMag range. Thanks again. RonA View Quote |

The longer barrel helps cartridge performance and suppressor performance. Faster and quieter is good, at least to a point.

I used to make 4140 & 4150, now I make Cu alloys.

I am having my Rem 700 308 re-barreled to 6.5 CM and will have the barrel shouldered for my AE30.
Anyone use on AE30 on a 6.5 caliber? Is it as effective as it is on a 30 caliber? Can you tell a difference? |
Never follow anyone shorter than you; they can walk under things that you can't.
|
The very first AE30's I made went to Accurate Ordnance in GA. They seemed to be very happy with them on their 6.5 CM's.

Has anyone attempted to attach an AEM5 to something like the Spike's Tactical LRS one piece mount? I've been interested in an AEM5 and was wondering if there was some way to circumvent profiling a barrel. It wouldn't be going on an AR so there isn't a chance for me to get a pre-profiled barrel.

Looks a bit short(distance from front of brake threads to start of taper). Happy to see Brownells has dropped their price.

I was looking at the various mounts and I'm not understanding clearly.
Is there a mount that would allow for putting a Model 12 on a 11.5inch light weight barrel? (E.G. Colt 6933) |

So, I just got the approval for my AEM5 from my dealer!!
I just need to mount the brake and collar on my MK12 Mod 0,1,H. I contacted Ron and purchased brake and collar sets from him. I believe that I got 1 short and 1 long collar from him. Does it matter which collar goes on what variant? I had ADCO reprofile a barrel for my mod H and that came with a collar so I am assuming I use that collar on that rifle. |
