My M24 suppressor from Ron Allen is essentially identical to the Ops Inc. 3rd Model which became the AE 3rd Model.  Correct me if I'm off here Ron please.

Many thanks for metering the two suppressors Pete. I wasn't expecting it to be much quieter, but honestly thought it would be at least 1 db quieter. Volume and extra baffles help when you are at the limits for a certain cartridge. But this just shows that the standard AEM5 is not straining with the small .224 Valkyrie. I'll try the new baffle stack on an AE30 first section and compare it to the standard AE30 on .308 and the various 6.5's. Dropping an inch or so in length would be nice since it's probably not needed until you get up into the .300 WinMag range.
Thanks again.

Again, I’m very appreciative of Ron for letting me borrow his meter and for the use of the AEM5s. These are some of the quietest setups available and are truly a pleasure to shoot.

The longer barrel helps cartridge performance and suppressor performance. Faster and quieter is good, at least to a point.

I am having my Rem 700 308 re-barreled to 6.5 CM and will have the barrel shouldered for my AE30.

Anyone use on AE30 on a 6.5 caliber?  Is it as effective as it is on a 30 caliber?  Can you tell a difference?

The very first AE30's I made went to Accurate Ordnance in GA. They seemed to be very happy with them on their  6.5 CM's.

Has anyone attempted to attach an AEM5 to something like the Spike's Tactical LRS one piece mount? I've been interested in an AEM5 and was wondering if there was some way to circumvent profiling a barrel. It wouldn't be going on an AR so there isn't a chance for me to get a pre-profiled barrel.

Are these available for regular M4a1 barrels or only for non-tapered barrels? Any compatible with an AEM5?

Got really excited, my 30 cal set came in today from Brownell's, marked as OPS 12th 308.

As compared with an installed 22cal .setup.

I'd believe it's a 30 bore, but a 1/2x28 pitch, fits perfect... on a 223 barrel.

Quite frustrating, because I got this for a 300blk barrel.

Yeah that barrel's an M4 profile,  I just set it on for the picture.
Were there a lot of 30cal mounts made in 1/2x28?

Is there a mount that would allow for putting a Model 12 on a 11.5inch light weight barrel? (E.G. Colt 6933)

I got a 733 with 11.5" pencil barrel that I want to be able to run my AEM5 with. From what I understand, that requires minimum of 12.5" barrel if you want to clear the front sight base using the 12th/AEM5.

Maybe one of those no-step collars could be made for the 11.5" that would add an inch of free bore, but I'm not sure..? If so, I'd like one!

Low profile gas block gives enough room for a collar and AEM5.

That is something I will keep in mind for a future build. Ideally would just buy another one of your cans that's a better fit for the shorties, just not possible at this time.

I think I have an idea how to make it work on the 11.5" w/FSB using a custom adapter/collar, topped off with the AE flash hider mount instead of the brake. Goal is to be able to take off the suppressor mount and go back to normal config if needed. I'll call soon with some measurements and see what you think about this crazy idea

some pics for reference

So, I just got the approval for my AEM5 from my dealer!!

I just need to mount the brake and collar on my MK12 Mod 0,1,H.

I contacted Ron and purchased brake and collar sets from him.  I believe that I got 1 short and 1 long collar from him.  Does it matter which collar goes on what variant?  I had ADCO reprofile a barrel for my mod H and that came with a collar so I am assuming I use that collar on that rifle.

Depends what FSB you have on the Mod 0. Functionally, you want to make sure they are going all the way back to the step down and not stopping before that point.
