Mine is July 18, 2106 called yesterday and was told they are just getting into mid July I asked them how come I am seeing July 24 approvals was told it depends on the examiner mine must be on vacation |

First time I've called in months, but I called yesterday, still not approved. She said something like "we're working on July now", of course I wasn't expecting a precise timeframe, since it's all over the place, based on who knows what. |

Well I was approved June 15th but stamps still haven't been received by the dealer.
Pending 7/18/16 Approved 6/15/17 Stamps TBD ETA I submitted 5 stamps at the same exact time, I checked 2 of those with the atf and assumed the other 3 would be approved at the same time. I was curious so I just called again on a different can out of those 5. It was approved June 19th where the other 2 I checked were the 15th of June. The lady also said typically the approved form 4 hangs out there with them for 10 days before getting mailed. |

I don't think there should be ANY post-41F approvals before ALL of the pre-41F applications have been at least viewed or started their first step in examination. But I also don't think the ATF is going to be all that careful to make sure that happens.
I bought my first suppressor 1 year ago today from SS and it was almost certainly in the truckload of submissions. Haven't heard a thing. Rob |

Rob Yeah in a perfect world all applications that have no special circumstances would be processed in the order received, but this is far, far from a perfect system. With the giant volume of applications coming in around the 41F deadline, it is very possible that applications from pre and post got mixed into the same stack and were entered together. When you are dealing with that quantity, you may actually be slowing down the process if you were to ask that all pre-41F applications get priority over post-41F. |

Three suppressors from Silencer Shop on the Form 3 and 4 process. First two were filed to ATF on 07/07/17 and I believe third may have been as well. First approved 49 weeks later, second 50 weeks later by different inspector and third is still pending.
Two SBR's filed electronically under trusts. First on trust that was previously filed took about 6 months and second on newly established trust took about 7 months. |
