Hi all,

I was looking ino buying a 1911. I saw a great one at a local gun store.  Is $1200 a fair price for a kimber.  I ant remember all the specs on it, but it is ss with adjustable sights and it has some other stuff too.

Kimber builds some good pistols, but I don't think any of their stuff is worth $1200.  The Custom Target (base pistol with adjustable sights) should be available for less than $700.

get the Kimber model and particulars and we can help.

There are maybe four Kimber's (with three of them custom shop) that 'could' carry that price tag.

Need the model but....

1.  I have the Ultra Elite top of the line carry pistol that retails for about $1,100 - you should be able to get that one for $900-950.

2.  I also have the full-size standard/base model that you should be able to buy in the $600-700 range.

Both are great shooters - CTC Lasergrips on the Ultra make it a GREAT carry weapon.
 
I also have a Springfield and several Colts.   None compare with the Kimbers' accuracy.
