Since it was 7 ar15 mags for $70 I figured "Hey why not"

Well I just got them in today and 2 of them are LEO Military.

Can I posses them legally as long as I do not use them?

Or should I cannibalize the springs, follower, and base plat then trash em?

I try to stay legal with all my rifles.

No it is not legal for you to possess them. I went through the same thing, but bought mine at a gun show. I took them back the next day and made it very clear that I wanted legal mags. He didn't hesitate to give them to me.

It's your call. You could tuck them away for safe keeping, or keep the springs and followers. But I'd contact whoever you got them from and request that they trade you out for legal mags.

Anyway, good luck either way.

Any LEO want to do a trade?

I have a wish list of some stuff.
