Essential Arms went out of business before the '94 AW Ban, so all were made prior to the ban. The ban states that to be grandfathered as an "assault weapon" that it must have been assembled as such before 9/13/94. The problem arises when you consider that Essential Arms only produced lowers, no complete weapons. Some people say that it best to get a notorized statement from the person who assembled it, stating that it was assembled in AW configuration before 9/13/94. Others could care less and don't worry about it.
