Trust me, those of us in the People's Republic of Illinois are fighting it... Unfortunately, although the capital is in Springfield, Chicago and the hereditary Mayors position run the state.

    Didn't I read a discussion recently on this forum that the ss-109 round was banned in the State of Illinois?  If so, this might help explain why.

FOID - Firearm Owners ID

In Illinois they don't register guns, they register gun owners.  You have to have an FOID to purchase or possess a firearm and to purchase ammo.

The Democratic Machine has had a stroghold on Chicago forever but the majority of the state government is generally Republican.  It's a constant battle between the City and the rest of the State.  It sucks!

I had a friend from southern IL.  He always maintained that Chicago was a different country.

And hey!  What's all this liberal crap that registration of owners or firearms doesn't lead to  confiscation?  Don't they say that whenever they're trying to make all pro-2nd Amenmend people look like criminals and paranoids in the press?

Out of staters better bring plenty of ammo, becuase you wont be able to buy it there without a FOID.

The laws have been changed,
out of state people can buy ammo, just have a out of state DL.

Green tip ammo is legal. I buy it all the time.

As Kommiefornia goes, so goes the rest of the country. THIS is precisely why EVERYONE MUST STICK TOGETHER! The libs think they can get away with it in CA, then their socialist buddies in other locals follow suit.
So, instead of beating up on or bitching about how "California sucks" or "Illinois is a hell hole" etc, we all need to come up with a solution. Abandoning said locations is unacceptable, for when the libs finish there, your state is next. Hell, we outnumber the bastatds for Chrissakes!!
We have seen that they CAN be defeated as witnessed by the court decisions regarding lawsuits against gun manufacturers, distributors and dealers.

Well, the mayor of Chicago is just apparently doing his mob buddies' bidding... to keep it safe for the mafia.

FOID is what the politicians want to do to the whole country so that they can fight crime and terrorism.  "But we HAVE to do something!"  they cry.  "It's a good first step!"

Well, if you register, you or your guns, you play into their hands.

I think I feel sick... literally.  The last thing I want to do is kill and die for the RKBA, but I will.  The thing is, if they keep coming for us one by one we can never win.

Ummm, there's a 300 mile distance between Chicago, and the Convention. We're going to be in the heart of the hunting capitol.

As to the wishing of my death by lathe injury I am sure this applies evenly to every member with like opinions of the state of Illinois.

I have wondered on occasion if it would be possible to have an alert system for us here to call for help in times of JBT attack. I'm not beating my chest here but if I see one of my bros on the news pinned down and needing support you can bet your ass Davids on his way if it's close enough to get there in time.
