I want to know, I am from Ohio and I want to know, can I sell my pistol (semi automatic .40 caliber) in Ohio to another Ohio resident? Is it legal...I know people do it all of the time.

Short answer is yes, in Ohio, like most states a person to person sale is legal as long as he/she isn't a convicted fellon.

You can only sell to another Ohio resident, 21 yrs of age or older. I'm not sure if you need to keep the buyers info, but it's probably a good idea.

How about a shotgun in the state of Michigan?
I heard Michigan wasn't a fan of private sales.
