If it was made in 1999 it is not new, whether it has been used or not. They are good for 12 years (i think). Whether it has been used or not, it is still limited by date of production.

So far, nobody has given a price. How much does a front tritium sight packaged for military sell for?

www.arizonagunrunners.com has Trijicon front sight posts listed for $39, and will be 2001 or 2002 production. Meprolights are $29.
I'm not aware of these being military-issue items, so I'm not sure about military packaging. The Trijicons come in a clear plastic cover about the size of a CD case. -Troy |

Excellent point. Tritium is radioactive and it decays at the same rate whether you 'use' the sight or not. |
