I usually don't care for "older" guns. I have to say though that the two photos of the 1911's from WWI & WWII, that were carried by family members of their current owners are great!
I can't imagine being more proud of owning a firearm than having a piece like that, with all it's history in my collection. Really cool!! |

My first 1911. A Kimber Custom Target that I got yesterday. I agree with M4. The 1911's from WWI & WWII are very cool. Just looking at them makes me think of where they have been and what they and their owners went through. |

Here's a pic of my Systema Colt that I stripped down to the frame and rebuilt with all the custom features I was looking for in a 1911.It just came back from www.trippresearch.com to be Cobra Chromed.

Awright, DavidC--is it one of the early (pre-Double Eagle) Double Action conversions on a 1911? Not sure who did the bulk of the conversions, but I recall reading about them a while back.

Just got my Para Ord P12 back from Caswell's after they installed an Ed Brown beavertail grip safety. Also found a carton of Winchester (nickel-plated) small rifle primers there.
