I just picked up a Group Industries UZI and I was told it was a Pre Ban.  How do I verify it?

Thanks,

John

There are a couple of UZI sites out there that I saw the other day at work, but for the life of me, I can't find them now.

I don't remember if they had a place to look up serial numbers, but if I can find them I'll post the links here.

What year did Group Industries go out of business? If you can find that out it might help you determine when yours was made.

Well, I just found out that Group Industries' assets were auctioned off in 1995, so there couldn't be many out there made after 94.

Didn't Roger Small(?) at the old Scattergun Technoligies (now a part of Wilson Combat) buy up the Group guns?

Vector bought the NFA registered receivers. Don't know about anything else.

GREATVectorArms  Good luck getting ahold of them.  I have been calling them since before Christmas.  They never answer there phone.

My dealer just ordered an UZI from them and I'm waiting on the paperwork to go through now.

If you get in touch with them ask to speak with Robyn.

Seems like the post ban Uzi's had that ugly-assed thumbhole grip & long screw-on barrel. I could be wrong but I think that was their "Sporter" model. Dunno if the NRA web site has any info or not.
