Forgive me, but why want a barrel length longer than stock? Why would you not purchase / own / use a different weapon?

Cuz he wantz a kuztom G27 with extended sniper barrel to increase his MAD SKILLZ!

From what I understand the G22 barrel will work and there are some longer aftermarket barrels too.
Here are some: Federal Arms Glock-27 Long Ported (.850" longer than stock) $89.95 in the Brownells catalog. #306-101-427 I remember seeing another but don't have the info handy.

I have tried to stick my G22 barrel into my G27 and it would not go in place properly because the barrel was to long to slip up into the slide. I don't know if the aftermarket ones are slightly different.

There are some after market barrels that will fit. Some do extend out of the frame some. You can also get other caliber conversion barrels for them. Check out www.topglock.com or the Glock Talk forum. You can find out every thing you ever wanted to know about Glocks and more there.

A G22 barrel will also not work because the locking lug is spaced different. G23/27 are the same locking lug while 22/24/35 are the same (same goes for the 9mm/.357 Sig models). Re-assembling a G22 barrel in a 23 will freak you out! Several years ago O.A. screwed up my order for a 9mm conv. barrel and sent me a 22 barrel rather than a 23, not knowing what I know now I slapped it together w/ the 22 barrel and it was locked up!!! There was just barely enough room to get it dis-assembled again but it took several minutes and several thousand heartbeats away!! Just a thought - If you like the black finish look get a Jarvis barrel for your G27. |
