why do the two AR bolts that i have look different? one is from a J&T i think, the back (where it contacts the buffer) is a complete circle. the other is a preban Colt and the back is cut off to form a kinda "C" shape...

1.) what is the difference?

2.) how much is the Colt (the cut "C" shape) one worth in excellent condition?

thanks

The difference is that Colt didn't want their civilian carriers being used to make auto guns, so the relieved the botttom of their carriers to prevent it.

I don't know the price difference myself.
