Picked up my Hesse Har15a2 from my dealer today.Go it From Fac. price paid was 499.00+shipping.Standard A2 Hbar config with Comp/brake.my experience is with oly's and bushmasters so i was curious on how these looked.I have never seen one at a gun show or stocking dealer.

Kevlar lower is beutiful
Upper/lower fit is TIGHT.
No play at all

Front sight is cast and not forged

Barrel is full Hbar but is finished in a paint type finish and not the usual mag phosphate

Fire control parts look good and look to be machined rather than stamped.

Bolt and carrier look good and seem to be brand new manufacture.

Tried all the mags I have and they all fit tight.Thermold/Orlite/GI/Eagle No problem

Comp/brake is pinned and finished in park.has  4 rows of 2 holes spaced equally around the comp.

Rest of the parts look like GI stuff.

Have not shot the rifle yet so can't comment on funtioning.

Good Deal? I think so.
i will probalbly strip the barrel and park it but the rest of the gun seems fine.http://pstr-m05.ygpweb.aol.com/data/003/43/67/94/76/tAfW0tuBum5k3f64QRdOF+XH-frMoYRk0180.jpghttp://pstr-m05.ygpweb.aol.com/data/00D/2B/2D/D7/BC/723+aGXD0zEbtlARnNB47yTklKQSNthS0180.jpghttp://pstr-m05.ygpweb.aol.com/data/001/10/34/55/A0/aCCThHk31qctE1u46R7zpiNj5bzVGOX-0180.jpghttp://pstr-m05.ygpweb.aol.com/data/00E/2A/15/FC/41/DaTm01HFE0jvR75m--oFkyXxTCKjFXtP0180.jpg

How much does it weigh compared to a similar Bushy?  Does the kevlar lower want to flew any?  Or is it very rigid?

It seem to weigh the same as the other A2's I have handled.all the weight is up front so it seems muzzle heavy.I can surely tell difference between it and my preban A1.Cant wait to shoot it.

I look forward to hearing how it shoots.  I'm leary of all Hesse's stuff since they have a such a bad rep with all their stuff I've heard of...

These are great prices though.  Is the barrel and all new, or what?

the barrel looks to be new manufacture..Don't understand why they painted it instead of parkerizing it but I can park it myself after it wears off or maybe burns off?LOL

I thought about going the kit route but at this price why bother. I'm kinda done building Fal's and  AR's.

Why don't you put some moly lube on that ugly mag?  Gun looks good.

I would be real interested in the durability of the receiver. Kevlar tends to delaminate because it does not "wet out" as well as fiberglass or carbon fiber. It does not route or drill very well either. The design engineers love the stuff because it's properties, us manufacturing engineers hate it.
