i saw a preban colt sporter lightweight in 7.62x39 mint condition for $1150.00,is it worth the money?

For that price, I would pick it up. The last few I saw were closer to $2k. Both were NIB. Get it, if you don't want it, sell it for a slight profit.

Get it but you won't be happy with magazine availability and reliability. Convert it to 5.56 with a new upper and there you go - two for the price of 1.25 +/-

Buy it, then sell it to me cheap. I know how to make them work with 30 rnd mags

WALDO,

Have you ever tried the 10 rd MWG mags that Brownells sells for the 7.62 AR's ???
What are the post ban models worth?? Just curious.

No, never had any reason to try a 10 rnd mag.
Have never priced a post ban model either, but the uppers cost around $475 with a bolt.

para: but it, sell the upper, buy a 5.56 upper, and you got yourself a nice preban for roughly the same amount invested.

I went with a 7.62 blue label colt lower, and built a upper to go with it, the 7.62 lower works great.
