A friend of mine has a chance to buy w/o paperwork the following items. What he needs is a ballpark price to offer the seller.
(1) Chinese AK. Blk plastic furniture. Bore OK. Sling, cl. rod, buttstock kit. Ling Hua Mfr. Includes min of 2 30-rd mags, 1 with minor surface rust. 7.62x39.Imported by Clayco Sports.
UPDATE ON AK Pistol grip has raised ridges on sides running in line with grip. Plunger and scalloped muzzle brake present, brake rotated so scalloped portion is at about shooter's two o'clock. Right side of Rxvr (safety) marked S and below, C .
Left side of Rxvr near mag well:
CLAYCO SPORTS
CLAY CENTER . KS
Also on left side of Rxvr near trigger:
AKS SEMI-AUTO 7.62x39MM
LING HUA FACTORY MADE IN CHINA
Left side of Rxvr cover:
ALTERATIONS TO THIS FIREARM
ARE ILLEGAL AND DANGEROUS
S/N on rear of Rxvr cover match last 4 digits of six digit S/N No obvious date of Mfr. Last 2 digits of 6-digit S/N are much lower than 89.
Black Composite, shiny finish furniture is somewhat wavy and irregular, apparent primarily on stock. Looks like fiberglass, does not appear to be Nylon or GRP.
Surface finish wear only on mag catch. Fair amount of wear, no dings or burrs.
As for Bayo catch being present, am ashamed to admit ignorance of what it looks like. But have a feeling it's there.
(2)Russian SKS.Bolt matches rxvr s/n. Cl. rod, sling, buttstock cl. kit, 2 bayonets, 1 blade, 1 spike (both detached, with screws). Stock is a deep reddish brown, shiny varnished finish, like new cond. Upper handguard is similar finish and color, but laminated. 5-pointed star with enclosed arrow atop rxvr, 1 point of star and arrow both pointed towards muzzle. Sinonov.net says this is Tula Mfr. Below this is "1953r" Imported by CAI.
SKS is like new. AK is maybe 90%. Your opinions, please. TIA.
