I have been offered for sale a Colt MT6700 but in giving me descriptions of the rifle I have been shown that this particular rifle has no Sear Block??  I want to know if they do have a sear block in them, and if they do why was this removed? If not then what are the legalities of the sear block.

It may not have had a block in it from the factory,or it may have been removed to install a single stage trigger or a regestered drop in  auto sear.It has been posted here that it is legal to revove the block .

bully is correct. The ATF has ruled that it is OK to remove the sear block.
