And dose anybody make a steel buffer tube?

DPMS makes a Stainless Steel Lower.

But....WHY?

I've got a DPMS SS Lower on my Bulldog.
It makes for one heavy, solid benchrest rifle.
I would not want to carry it around much, but when it's on the bench it's a tack driver.

It would probably be great for one of those .50 BMG uppers.
