As some of you know, I'm a big fan of the Ruger 10/22. I have something like 5 of them, in all different configurations. I was recently required to liquidate some of my belongings, and since the purchase of a new house is more important than duplicate rifles right now, I let one of my 10/22s go.

I decided that I missed it, so I got another one the next week.


Anyway, here's the deal:
I've got 2 Tannery_Shop Stainless 80% 10/22 receivers, and all the parts to build up at least 1 more rifle, almost 2.
I'm currently not able to access a suitable machine shop to complete one of these receivers, but I'm antsy to put another 10/22 together. I'd really like to find a bare receiver somewhere, but just a regular Ruger one, not one of those high-speed aftermarket ones.
Does anyone know of a source for JUST the receiver?
Does anyone here have an old 10/22 that's shot out, with a good receiver for cheap?
Would anybody be interested in trading a 10/22 receiver for an 80% Tannery_Shop Receiver and a Ruger factory triggerguard with all the guts in it? Or trade for AR parts or whatever?


I'm really looking for something inexpensive, since I'm pretty broke. Finish isn't important, as long as it's dimentionally correct. Even something with a gouge or scratches in it would be acceptable...

Thank you, denholmsp1. That's one of the first places I tried, but I didn't find a receiver on their webpage. They seem to have a good selection of factory Ruger parts, and their prices are in line with Brownells or Numrich.

I'll give them a call if I can't find one another way.

For me it would be useless to buy the whole thing just for the receiver, since I would instantly be in the same boat again, just with 1 more 10/22. I'd then have all the parts from the new one sitting around like I do already.
For someone wanting to build up a custom 10/22 who has no box full of misc parts already, it'd probably be better to just get a new one. They're only $160 or so at WalMart.

I know that www.guwholesale.com has them for $119.95. They're the company who bought out all of ABN Sports' inventory during their bankrupcy. They've got some pretty good deals, but no bare receivers...
