Well I just came to this thread because I want to pick up one of the Bren 2 MS pistols that are out there. I'm looking at the 11' barreled model and planning on installing an SBA3 brace on it.
The cheapest I can find it is $1850 on GB. |

View Quote Actually since MSRP is now up to $2075, $1850 isn't really that bad a price, especially coming from GB, unless you also have to pay extra for credit card use. I don't mean to panic anyone, but with all of the increased talk about gun bans, and with biden threatening executive action, it might be time to get anything that you are considering especially if it is foreign made. If biden does do something with executive action, the easiest thing for him to do is to ban the importation of assault style weapons made in foreign countries like the CZ Bren. Like I said, I'm not trying to panic anyone, but if you pass on this one and wait for a slightly better price, it might be taken off the table all together if biden has his way. It seems the 11" model is hard to find anyway, so if you can find it, I'd jump on it. By the way, I have an 11" Bren 2 and I love it. |

I predict a huge panic buying spree this weekend at the local shops and on GB. And I could see mags starting to sell out. In fact, a quick search of some popular websites, show a lot of mags are already out of stock.

Stack it deep, as they've said for the last year. I hope everyone gets all they need - I'm good.

I looked long and hard for an 11inch variant. No joy. I finally pulled the trigger on the 8 inch model when I found one at a non-rape price. I'd still rather have the 11 I think, but the 8 inch gun is uber-compact with the folding brace and handles very well. |

IIRC, you have to pull the pin for the hinge and that's where you attach it to the conversion piece. If they built it right, it will have the same cam open action the ACR has. I haven't seen one of the conversion pieces in person, so I'm not 100% they retained the original design features. |

I'm unfamiliar with the ACR stock so I can offer no opinions there other than the stock is the largest part of the expense and you've already got that covered. But the ACR stock profile aesthetically matches very nicely with the rear lines of the Bren 2. |

So I sent my x39 Bren back to CZ in early January, and I opted for the exchange. Still nothing from CZ. I've called several times, asking for any information at all -- nothing. All they've said is, exchanges have priority when they receive shipments from CZ UB, but I have to imagine they've received a shipment or so since the beginning of January. One guy told me he'd talk to their "gunsmith" to see when they were expecting a new shipment and get back to me but never did. Truly disappointing support from CZ.
Has anyone received an exchange since January? I'm just hoping I get it before an EO banning imports. |

The prices on the brens (regardless if they are fixed or not) will double overnight once any EO may happen. |

Was looking at some of the accessories hbi offers for the carbine. Is drilling out a suppressor setting needed for carbine? The hbi selectors and charging handle that much of an improvement? Is the rail mlok? Would like to add a surefire mini scout. Will need to wait for a warcomp looks oos every where I buy from

This is my last firearm purchase from CZ-USA, it's appalling the way they've treated individuals like those above - who were provided an expensive failed product (like many of us) and then, put to the back of the line. The (real) engineers at CZ-UB could have designed a completely new platform by now if that was a priority, yet they still haven't solved an FTE issue that American companies did (for the most part) in a few weeks. It seems like they don't really care about the success of the 7.62x39 Bren 2 in the USA, which is the only reason to really buy a Bren 2 IMHO as it's first class in that segment. I would personally have gotten a refund last year if I didn't own the 2S model.
One call, CZ-USA could have pulled in a 5.56 Bren 2Ms from any major distributor to replace this one example with. They aren't even trying to maintain positive customer relations anymore. How does a major importer or distributor that employs thousands of people, claim they can't determine if a large shipment of small arms (or spare parts for that matter) will arrive tomorrow or in three months? It's hilarious, but this is the same importer who didn't import spare parts (and still hasn't) for two years so it's understandable. |
