One summer, I was a volunteer docent @ the National Firearms Museum back when it was still in DC.

So I got to touch an original Gatling gun.

I have owned, and sadly sold, a Bannerman Spencer in 12 ga.  Had to have an aluminum extractor made for it, but the breechblock was brazed back together, so I never shot it.

I still own a Mendoza single shot .22" LR imported from Mexico.  Put that in the identify this gun thread and no one could guess it.

I've also designed, built, and tested the only Lyndon in existence so far.

My grandpa in Mexico has a Mendoza Coyote single shot .22 LR. Mendoza is still around, not the Coyote model. His was rusted so I strippes it down and repainted and varmished the stock. Killed a couple of his turkeys for a stew with it.

I used to be local to Jamie who owned the Surplus Rifle Forum back in the day. He used to put on C&R shoots that attracted a LOT of people and cool weapons. There was gentleman there that said he owned Teddy Roosevelt's old Sharps .45-120 rifle and let me fire off a couple of rounds. It was an OLD gun and one of the triggers didn't work properly but it still shot. I could feel the power of Teddy flowing through me when I pulled the trigger. Okay not really but it was still really cool to shoot it, even if the guy lied and it wasn't Teddy's rifle.

On a side note, man Jamie could put on a shoot! that's the only shoot I ever went to where they supplied the ammo via a uhaul trailer full of it, let you take home the extra ammo and gave away a bunch or rifles. It's the only time I ever went to range, shot ALL day long and literally left with more ammo and more guns than I arrived with.

Genuine surplus automatic M1 Carbine. Went to the range one day and this Korean War vet was in the lane next to me. Hands down coolest gun I've ever shot.
