First rifle was an old Colt SP1 Sporter AR, came with Colt 4x scope on handle, worst $500 I EVER spent! What a POS! First handgun was a S&W 3913, first year they came out, S&W Gen3 craze was in full swing. Glock was still relatively new here in US.

870 Super Mag I saved up a couple months worth of paper route money and bought it when I was in the 7th grade. http://i1153.photobucket.com/albums/p505/arfcomaje/hunts/IMG_20160912_195257516_zpszquevj40.jpg View Quote |

My first firearm was a S&W model 29 .44 magnum with 6 1/2" barrel. My second gun was a brand new Colt SP1 that I bought after I sold that S&W 29. Later I sold the Colt SP1 and bought a brand new Colt Python with 6" barrel. I wish I had the money to have kept all the different firearms I have bought and sold over the last 40 years.

A 22 semi auto rifle out of a mail order catalog like Sears or Montgomery Wards, back when you could still do those things before the 68 GCA.

The first gun I bought was a H&R 400 12 gauge pump. It was around 1986. I think I paid $70 for it from a second hand store that my uncle owned.

My first gun was a Ruger Blackhawk Old Model Flattop in .44 Magnum with a 6" barrel, I was 16 at the time, $300.
1976 my uncle did the paperwork at a local gun show. I still have it, it has slaughtered deer, hogs, and other too many to mention critters in the last 40 years. My second and third were a pair of Browning Hi-Powers 9mm with fixed sights, military issue the pair had consecutive serial numbers, like new, covered in cosmaline, with matching serial numbers throughout, noticed it and didn't say anything. $175 each, with 2 spare magazine and matching holsters each. I gave my uncle the money to buy one, and my dad to buy the other, it was at a gun show, they did the paperwork, the dealer started doing the paperwork, and noticed the serial numbers and wanted to jack up the price. Dad put him foot down and said "A deal is a deal". After we got it to the car, my dad and uncle both said I was a little gun dealing fiend. That was 1977. I still have the pair in the gun safe. I worked my tail off cutting grass, ( had my own business) so I tried to enjoy the sweat of my labor. |

Mossberg 500 special purpose.
My first gun though was a 91/30 I got for Christmas years earlier. |

1975 I bought a Rossi copy of a J frame. .38 5 shot, nickle plated pimp gun. $50.00 with shoulder holster and a box of bullets. Still in High school. wow how times change

Glock 23, gen 3, used with less than 50 rounds through it.
Essentially like new. Still had the copper grease inside it. Its seen at minimum 40k in ammo and still) looks pretty good. Hasn't been shot by me in many years though. If I had to sell everything. It would likely be the very last thing to go. Next to my first AR15 that I still have as well. |

M1884 trapdoor missing a stock. Wish I hadn't. Though I suppose it doesn't really count since it's an antique. My first gun that required paperwork was my scar16.

In 1981 bought a Ruger 10/22 from Woolworth's for $80ish. I was 16 then and still have it. Still have the Ruger Single Six 5.5" I bought at a gun show the same year too.

The first rifle I bought myself was a century arms R1A1. It had a butthole stock and a heavy barrel with Izzy handguards. Kinda wish I had held on to it.

Circa '90, or '91....I was working a summer landscaping job in Buffalo during college...stopped at Johnson's Country Store in Lockport during lunch one day, they had 4 or 5 Norinco underfolder AK's...and a Polytech Legend...I decided on the Legend, put a down payment down, and saved my money for a few weeks, and finally picked it up....it was so cool. The first gun I actually bought for myself.
I sold it off at some point to fund another gun purchase (as a poor college student, it was the only way I could afford something new!), an Eagle Arms CAR-15. Wish I still had that Legend! Milled for the win, like this... Attached File |

The first gun I bought myself was a stripped Aero lower back in 2010. Paid $100 OTD at the Tanner gun show. Evidently the old roll marks are somewhat collectable now...
