Smith and Wesson 4006. Paid $750. I was an idiot. Still have it. It has always stovepiped as well if I limp wrist it at all.

Yugoslavian M48A Mauser 7.92x57mm

I bought it on Tuesday September 4th 2001. I was 16yrs old and bought it from my grandfather who had a LGS. I gave him the money and he gave me the rifle.

paid $165 for it

In or about 1977 (I would have been 16 at the time)

Remington 742 30-06 with a scope mount like in the photo below.

Small town, way before the internet. I do wish I could go back in time and kick that gun shop guy in the nuts!

It was a jam-o-matic but I did manage to kill a few deer with it.

Mosin Nagant M44. Still have it. Paid $49.99 for it at a local Dunham's.
Wanted a 91/30 they were selling for $59.99, but they were out.
Wish I could go back in time with some cash and buy several.

Browning ATD built 1971, high school graduation present to myself 1974. 1 of 150 built in this configuration, $150.00. That was a lot of money for a kid making 2.50 per hour on a summer job !

IAC/Norinco 982 12ga pump. I blew through quite a few boxes of birdshot with it my sophomore year of college, running through move-and-shoot courses at a mine pit with brightly colored paper plates as targets! Slugs were (still are) expensive; shooting a box was a bit of a special occasion! I had considered a .223 bolt gun, but decided that the shotgun offered a bit more bang for the buck (similar costs per round if comparing steel-case and birdshot) and was more useful as a defensive weapon. Still have it; it's my dedicated truck gun. The darn thing is built like a tank.

It was a jamomatic. I took it to a local smith to fix it, and he just made it worse. finally traded it towards a Para p13 just prior to the 1994 ban.
