So is the lower the same on both 5.56 and 7.62? Is that what the sleeve is for?

@Trpclfvr , how is the trigger? View Quote I describe it as two stage. First stage is clean and light. 2nd stage is when the interrupt hook runs into the back of the hammer. At this point you are feeling the light trigger spring, and now the heavier disconnector spring. Fist stage is super easy to take all the way up. |

Nice comparison,
From the owner of a Scar 17, Its awesome to see CZ make revisions to the Bren. While the Scar is a good weapon, its essentially the same weapon that came off the line back in the mid 2000's. it baffles me how a 3500 rifle is still shipping with a 7 inch picatiny rail, shit trigger and is about 5 different shades of FDE. I haven't picked up a Bren but I do have a Scorpion which I really like. I will eventually grab one as i think that CZ is better suited to accomplish the vision that was had for the SCAR. |

What is the apples to apples weight difference vs the 805? I can deal with the few minor faults of the 805 but I do hate how heavy it is vs lightweight ar15’s. Wish someone would engineer a way to skeletonize it where possible. Have you got it on a scale yet? This is awesome to see. The impulsive side of me wants to order one today but I hate seeing how much money I could have saved on the 805 if I was a few months more patient.

Does anyone know if the factory Bren 2 stocks will be imported for those wanting to recreate an actual Bren 2 SBR via a Form 1?

No. The hole pattern is definitely different. If you want pic rails on the S2, we'll need to wait and see if/when CZ offers them. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

Anyone else get the DHD AR grip lower? Looking for another review or two before I purchase one

Hopefully it'll take SR25 pattern mags.
Its been a while since I've owned a 308 PMAG. I guess that could be a newer version of them? |

My CZ pistol needs a CZ rifle companion.
Pretty excited about the .308 version. |

The base plate is 100% identical, and the mag in the CZ picture obviously has "skate tape" in the recessed areas. However, the rib pattern is slightly different. Perhaps something Magpul is working on? Anyway, I think it's safe to say that the Bren 2 in 308 would not have a proprietary mag that I can see. eta: looking at them really close, the CZ one is something entirely new, probably something that they are making, but should be 100% compatible with other AR10/SR25 mags. |

Quoted: I am assuming this is the case. Just like HK makes their own mag. You can still use newer Pmags / Emags with it but they have their own design. View Quote things for us. They're looking to get state and military contracts. As such, they need to be able to be a 100% parts provider. Can't be waiting on magpul to ship 10,000 rifles to East Fuckovia or wherever. |

You know that does make sense. We need to remember that these guys (HK, CZ, whoever) are not making these things for us. They're looking to get state and military contracts. In general, if the mag ends up being sub par I suppose special forces and whatnot will dump them and get Pmags. But at least upfront, CZ / HK / whoever gets some extra profit in their contract. |

Got to look at this rifle in full form from the Czechs here on the compound along with their Benelli's.

Working on setting up S1 for a two stamp day someday soon. When dry fitting Sandman FH, it appears that there is not enough clearance to pull the piston. Am I doing it wrong?
|
|
Is there a rumor mill going yet for the differences between the military version small batch we got and the commercial version we're getting next?
|
|
|
I plan on buying a Sandman next year. I'll probably buy the flash hider soon, just to get it out of the way.
|
|
My stamps are both pending from Memorial Day. Hoping someone else has figured this out.

Quoted: @rustyboy I am. I'm pretty sure you'll need to use the flashhider and not the brake. Time it so that one of the grooves is at 12 o'clock. It will touch the regulator when you take it out but should be just fine https://i.imgur.com/VHMyl3B.jpg https://i.imgur.com/xzN9D79.jpg View Quote |

Grabagun has the 805 S1 pistol on sale for $1189
Might be the start of the older Brens being discounted before the S2s make it back to shops? |
