He is correct in the if you shoot a 308 in a worn out 7.62 it could be bad, but nearly all the current chambers for 308 are not cut the same as a 7.62 nato weapon, and his comparison is false. Remember the 308 ARs don't have a milspec and are not held to anything. If he thinks that manfs are pumping out "true" 7.62 chambers he is mistaken, and blindly saying not to use 308 in a 7.62 is kinda
. I would bet most are done with 308 reamers with larger throats (speculation)
I will say if you absolutely want to be sure, get it headspaced.
