Yeah, pictures don't do the ARX justice most of the time. The ARX looks and feels like a sleek and sexy space rifle in real life.

It's highly underrated, IMO.  Too bad the ARX-200 is being held back.

If the ARX-200 ever comes out I will likely buy one. Hopefully it will have an M-LOK compatible handguard though.

I've been looking into .308 ARs and the lack of parts interchangeability is disturbing... It's not like how it is with the AR15 at all. Might as well avoid that whole .308 AR mess altogether and just go with another platform that's completely unique.

@556Cliff

yes, by yellow I meant FDE and it's my first SBR.  I was really surprised how small/light it was.  Under $900 when Tavors are like $1500.

20 years from now they'll probably be as rare as the AR70s.

We are in a golden age of semi-auto guns.

Ah, FDE/yellow.

I would hold onto it for sure, it just feels like it's getting snuffed out by Beretta.

Haven't heard a hint about commercializing it, & not "feeling it" as a possibility, given how mute the company has been.
Anticipating a "meh" SHOT Show presence from them next yr also.

They've been incrementally clamping down on the information flow that comes from Shot Show. One of these days we won't even know it happened.

And yeah, Beretta has been pretty boring at SHOT since they seem to have forgotten about the ARX.

What’s this?

Arx 160 or 200?

Looks like a 200.  I like the fore end.

Beretta obviously has other priorities.

I guess I don't get it.  They were hot to bring a semi 160 (100) into a saturated 5.56 rifle market.  Conversely, in a scant BR market where the FN SCAR 17 goes for ~$3K, you'd think they'd be jumping in with both feet.

I bought 2 ARX-100's, & I'd love to buy 2 matching set ARX-200's.

HEY, BERETTA!?!  DID YOU CATCH THAT?  I'M NOT BLUFFING.  I'M DOWN FOR 2.  IN FACT, I'LL EVEN DOUBLE THAT UP & PURCHASEA TOTAL OF 4 OF BOTH TYPES (100 & 200), JUST TO ADD FURHTER INCENTIVE.  WHAT DO YOU SAY?

ARX200? That don’t make sense since so many countries have gone to the 5.56 or AK47. That cuts into the Beretta’s profit margin. I always thought war was about getting folks to kill each other but maximum profits as well.

Beretta should release one as a 10.5 in pistol, because that rear stock portion seems like it would be easy to replace with one that incorporated the sba3 brace.

Not much for braces, personally.  Also, the ATF seems to be getting ready to shut that down.

Beretta should release a semi -200.  The BR market needs more offerings.  FN sells the Mk17 for +$3K while Beretta sits on the sidelines.  I don't get it.

It wouldn't be hard to modify (if any modification is needed) to put the endcap from the .22 version on the -100 and sell the 10.5in as a pistol.

Pretty sure Beretta has given up on expanding the ARX100 in its current form...just saying. I doubt we will ever see a factory ARX100 pistol...it would be cool...with a tailhook.

I was talking to the GM of the local gun store today. I asked about the ARX and he said that he had received numerous requests but didn’t have any in stock. He went on to say that he had contacted Beretta and they said none were available and didn’t they expect any more in the future. On the way out the door, he said “wait a minute, I might have one in the used section”. We found one that looked new and had a price tag of $999.00 on it.

If anyone has any contacts or friends at Beretta, now might be the time to call and check status on new stock.

What a load of BS.  I see these all the time in Academy for $799.
Not BS at all. Academy made a deal with Beretta to keep buying those as an unwritten exclusive. Most of the major distributors don't even stock it any more.

Academy has the best deal on the standard black rifle, and a regular FFL cannot order one in at a price to match. This has been discussed multiple times in this very thread.

Don't attach that to a regular ARX100 with a 10.5 barrel...or it will be an SBR...remember...our ARX100 receivers are registered as rifles...therefore they cannot be just made into a pistol classification with a brace attached...only way to do it right is if you have sourced a virgin ARX100 receiver...which we can't at the moment.

But the ARX160 .22lr pistol can use it.

Cool to see though to be made into one.

Yeah almost weakly, haven't seen an ARX there since early summer, and I have asked almost every opportunity I have had. " we aren't getting anymore" is what I am told consistently.

And i have always keeping fingers crossed to find an FDE version

Just picked up one of the $999 Galil rifles from them it took them over a week just to ship. I have some buddies that order a fair amount from them and this seems to be the norm.

Shipping would have been like 23 bucks (shrug).  That's not much, honestly.

I was really close to buying one but I have absolutely no need for one and there are definitely some optics I "need" more.

Yep, though if they wanted to phase out the current upper receiver and phase in the large vent hole A3 upper receiver I would be fine with that.

Just a pipe dream of course, along with the ARX-200 and caliber conversions.

No it won't, if the arx was enough of a flop that they are discontinuing commercial sale, why the hell would they make the investment to put the 200 out there and have it flop as well?

Let's face it, the ARX didn't gain popularity, until recently when companies start d selling them at clearance prices to get rid of overhead.

5.56 market isn't the .30 cal market.  Slightly different beasts.  The former is littered with variants, while the latter currently has exactly 1 modern era design from FN, which is retailing above $3K.  IMI is possibly introducing their bullpup T7 next yr when they get it sorted to their desired std, but that's it for next gen designs in .308 cal.

The 200 is an evolution of the 100/160 platform.  With the number of 100s out there now, I'd wager there'd be serious interest, esp considering how well the 100 performs.

The 200 will have to compete with;

Scar 17
MDR
Tavor T7
Galil Ace
XCR-M
PTR
Bren heavy
Every FAL
Every AR10 clone.

Most of which, where applicable,  thier 5.56 baby brothers enjoyed a hell of a lot more success than the ARX. Not only just sales success, but also after market support success.....something the ARX got none of.

It's a far stretch to expect the 200 to gain enough success to earn the investment needed by Beretta to release the rifle for the USA market.

It sucks, I really liked my ARX, but the writing was on the wall when there wasn't even a new ARX at the Beretta booth at shot last year.
