Now I have your attention!

I'm not sure if I'm right about this...

Say at I have a mil-dot scope.
It is variable power and the reticle is calibrated to work correctly at 10X

Say I have to hold 5 mils above my target to hit at 500yds at 10X...
If I lower the power of the scope to 5X and hold at 2.5 mils will I hit the same spot?

ETA: I KNOW I have to clarify this or someone is going to get on my ass about it.
I don't remember which is which, but this is the focal plane where the reticle
appears to stay the same size, and only works at one range.

You should post this question in the precision rifle forum, some of the people that post there would know.

Oh, and by the way, I only clicked on this because of the BOOBIES!

Yes. At 5x, the image is half the size at 10x. As a result, you need half the amount of visual hold-over.

So, your drop would still be 2.5 yards or 90"

Aren't there some scopes that magnify the reticle to adjust for the variable power?

When you deliver the BOOBIES I'll answer.

deceptive boobie advertising

, until we get the correct boobies, I'm not gonna tell about how the hold over is determined by the square root of the volumetric difference between b-cup & c-cup.

10x boobies are bigger than 5x boobies!

My Nightforce Mil-dots look like boobies, they are clear with lil black dots in the middle of them .
