We've seen the "$500" thread.
Now, name your gun purchase if you've got $1000 to "blow".

Feel free to add a few to the list!

I would get about 20 more lower receivers from Ameetec, and then spend the rest on ammo and beer.  Maybe trim out $100 for misc parts from Brownells.

Of course my budget for the year is much higher than that, I have to narrow the scope for this discussion.

Either a Kimber 10mm 1911 or another AR Carbine.

Even odds.

QD 223 can. I haven't made up my mind which one, GemTech, AAC or SWR. They all seem to be compareable quality and suppression.

I would get a aimpoint comp ml3 with arms mounts & 2 rock river complete lowers. Because as soon as eagle gets some lowers in stock that's exactly what I am getting. Its killing me to not order the aimpoint now but I don't want to pay twice for shipping.

If it's got to be spent on a firearm, I'd spend it on a Tikka T3 synthetic in .223 or .243 along with a 3x9 scope, since that is my current interest for a next gun. Or I'd spend it on .45ACP and 5.56 ammo. Outside of firearms, I've got some camping gear I want to get.

I'd also opt for the AR10 carbine.  Or I'd stock up on all the internals, frame, and slide for the custom 1911 I want.  I'd then have to wait for the next windfall of money to come around so I could get the thing built.

I've got plenty of AR's and auto pistols ... I'd go for that new S&W Tactical .357 revolver .....
