You can buy just about any model Glock sans night sights for $500 around here. Since I already have two Glocks I'd probably look hard to find a SIG certified pre-owned P229 in .40 S&W. I 'd like to buy a NIB P229, but I haven't seen on going for $500.

If I didn't already have a Garand I'd definately recommend getting one through the CMP. I would also like to have a 4" barrel SS GP100.

I have heard several people mention the GP-100 for $500. I guess I got a good deal on my 4" barrel SS GP-100 for $300. For what it's worth, I am planning on spending mine on a Glock 17

Already have the 1911, CMP Garand, 2 AR's, etc.  It seems that I am lacking a Glock.

For $500 you need a Mauser and a 5000 round supply of 8mm

The usual price tag on a SS GP100 at gun shows around here is about $429 NIB. I've seen them marked lower than that other times. BTW, you did get a good deal on your GP100 for $300!
