I can't think of any bolt action centerfire rifles made by Marlin. Strange, don't you think?

They had one called the MR-7 about 5-10 years ago. All I remember is .270 and '06, blued steel and wood.Didn't last but a couple years I think.Don't know if they were decent or not, never really heard anything about them.

They have actually made two. The MR-7 was made in the mid 90s but never caught on. And back in the 50s or 60s they had a model 455 on a Sako action for a little while. I'm not sure why either of them didn't catch on, probably because people think "lever action" or ".22" when they think of Marlin.

Pretty hard to compete with Remchester in the low - middle cost centerfire Untin rifle market.

I have a 30:06 MR-7 and I like it, it's kinda a cross of the best features of the Rem 700 and Win 70. but it has a re-sale value of a Kia
