Does anyone make a synthetic stock for the Rem 788? thanks- Gene

What kind of stock?

Cheapy or high end?

Tactical, varmint, sporting?

"Synthetic" or kevlar composite?


etc.

A good quality sporting stock...

Haven't found any in quick looks around.

Ram-Line makes one. I got mine for abot $65.  Stock is not rigid enough for real precicion work.  When I first put it on, groups opened up from 1-1.5" to about 5".  I got some epoxy formulated for sticking to plastic at Wal-Mart and bedded the recoil lug area. That reduced group size to under 2".  One of these days I will bed the reciever sides and tang.  That ought to bring the group size down even more.

Advantages of the Ram-Line stock are:
Weatherproof
Ding-proof
Slightly longer length of pull
Soaks up recoil
Very inexpensive

McMillan makes plenty of stocks for all types of Remingtons.
