I was at my range with one of my father's friends who had a new rifle, a Remington 700 7mm Short Action Ultra Mag. Sweet gun. I didn't know this cartridge existed. It was shootin' real good at 250-300 yards and now I want one. This guy swears by it. Says it'll take down anything in North America with the proper load. Anyone have any experience or knowledge of this gun and/or round? Thoughts, opinions, etc.?  

I haven't shot one yet but the gun rags are all agog over these new calibers. The guys who know ballastics say they're fairly impressive.

Looks like they may be big sellers in the future?
