What's a fair price on a new model 96FS in .40 S&W? (note: not the Brigadier model)

Standard Double/single action with external ambidextrous manual safety, decocking lever, trigger bar disconnect, rotating firing pin striker, firing pin block device.

Total Length 217mm, Barrel Length 125mm, Total Thickness 38mm, Total Height 137mm, Sight Radius 155mm, Weight Unloaded 973gr.

Thanks

Pic works fine for me...

I was checking them out this last weekend at the gun show... 40's were in the low $500 range, fresh from factory.

I'd imagine if they are that price at a gun show, that you could probably find something a bit cheaper elsewhere.

I just picked up a used 92 elite for $450, man... they're awesome. I like the SS barrel and better trigger over the standard 92fs, but otherwise they seem pretty similiar.

Well I spoke with my usual dealer and two others. Two in WI quoted $569.00 and $559.00. A third in MN quoted $585.73 (includes tax) but then MN has a higher sales tax than WI. This must be the normal price range for this region.

Venerated,

I have one, it is my pride and joy, but I have the Inox. I like it because it is much less resistant to rust, easier to clean, and it looks new for longer.

Either way, you can't go wrong, they are the best pistol going.

[Edited to say: I paid 570 for my inox, they are usually more expensive though.]

Contact Tom at sportingarms.com and he will give you a good price. The lowest i've seen them is $479 NIB. Pretty good price when compared to Glocks and Colts.
