Will a stainless barrel do the same thing as a chrome lined barrel in aiding extraction?

How about resisting corrosion?

No. There are properties of the chrome lining that ease extraction that are not found in stainless steel barrels.

Yes. Should be similar for the barrel interior, better for the rest of the barrel. SS barrels should also be more accurate.

No it does nothing to aid extraction.  Infact stainless parts tend to gall or bind on each other so it might even be worse.

Although stainless is more corrosion resistant than regular steel it in no way compares to the protection offered by hard chrome. The stainless alloys they manufacture firearms from have a high level of Chrome-Moly Steel in them and when stainless firearms rust, they usually pit deeply where the Chrome Moly part of the alloy is concentrated.

Stainless barrels will also wear out faster.  Only get a stainless barrel if you want a match/target gun not a general purpose or self defense weapon.
