I'm trying to drum up support for Armalite to start re-manufacturing the AR160. I figure if enough of us clamor for this, they are bound to listen.

Simple question, would you purchase an AR160 if introduced by Armalite? This rifle would be similar to the new AR180B (polymer lower) except in 7.62 NATO. I'd hope that the low price tag and ultralight weight, indicitative of the 180B, would translate to a 160.

What do y'all think?

Only if it used cheap FAL mags.

I 2nd that.As much as I love my AR10,I don't need another weapon that takes $50-$80 mags. For all my 308's I figure at least 10 20rdrs so with 5 factory and 5 conversion AR10 mags I've got $650 or so just in mags.

Arnalite AR160? Didn't Arnie use one in Commando?

Well that would make for an interesting rifle I suppose. Just don't really seem to need it with so many HK-91s/clones and FALs/clones. But I'd take a look at it if they ever made one.

If it was inexpensive like the AR-180, and of similar good quality, and took cheap mags, yeah.

I like having firearms that are different from the norm.

Why couln't it use cheap G3 mags?

That will be the ticket.

I agree with Ariel, cheap G3 mags woould be the ticket. I would take one in a heartbeat as long as it used affordable mags. I have 10 AR-10 20 rds. mags and it almost broke me.

I would give my left nu...I mean knuckle for a Stoner 62!

expensive mags would be a deal-breaker for me...
