I'm a fairly new Utah FFL holder.

Today, I tried to sale a rifle to my brother, and when I called in his background check, I was informed that I could not run the check a family member.

I politely explained that I have no employee's and that I was the only one that could run the check. They told me that there was nothing they could do about it.

I tried to call the ATF support center, but they are closed for the weekend. I am going to call them on Monday, but I am wondering if there are any other FFL holders out there that have no employee's that might know what I need to do.

I mean, come on. I can sale a gun to a total stranger but not my own brother????

Who told them it was your brother? There are more than a few families named Smith ya know. Please tell me you didn't volunteer extra info to a government agency.
