KAC556 MG, Mini-14 SBR, or is that barrel still 16"?

It's a registered receiver Mini-14. It came as the GB model with the full stock and 19" barrel. I had it chopped to 13", put in the folding stock and the KAC556 front sight/gas block installed.

No I don't. If you'll notice I took the picture while standing in front of a mirror, so it only looks backwards.

Looks like the "chop shop" did a great job!
I bet that SBR is very LOUD!

Like the sig line. A "pulp fiction" quote or just a personal favorite?

Good Luck with your toy in it's NEW configuration.

I'm in Sherman, but I'm heading down to Plano in a little while to go shooting at the Bullet Trap. If anybody wants to meet up email me soon.

Neat looking rifle. I can't help but wonder what the shorter barrel will do for the Mini-14's legendary accuracy.

(I know, I know, I'm just kidding)

Didn't Ruger make something like it called AC-556k? If I ever got one I'd want it to look like that, guess Mini 14 is good for something after all

The factory auto in this exact configuration would be the KAC556F. That is what I originally was planning on buying but I lucked into this one for half the price. I'm willing to give up the Ruger factory service for around $2K.

All weapons shown in this thread are full auto. No weapons were harmed during the taking of the photos.
Link Posted: 12/10/2002 4:25:10 PM EDT
Nice. I wish I could afford to get some toys like that. I probably wouldn't get those exact things but I have dif taste in guns. I'd love a G3, MSG-90, PSG-1, M4 shorty, the list goes on and on.

However, some of us abviously forgot the quote from our favorite movie "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all".

Where did you find the front sight? I have been looking for a blued one for a while!
Link Posted: 12/10/2002 4:43:59 PM EDT
It took me 8 months and $140 to get the front sight. You'll need to search www.subguns.com and www.sturmgewehr.com everyday and one will eventually pop up, but you have to act fast!

yeah the saw blade marks and the broken out chips in the stock really impress me. looks like real quality work to me.

Actually, it's a dremel mark if you want to get technical about it. I'm not real anal about finish on my guns, so I don't care about stuff like little scratches, stock dings and inconsequential stuff like that. I think it's funny to hear people cry about a scratch on their new gun.

If you'd seen guys shoot their full auto AKs until the handguards catch on fire, you'd know where I'm comming from. If you're from the other side of town you can't afford to do that to your toys though, so I see where you're comming from.
Link Posted: 12/10/2002 6:03:22 PM EDT
yeah it doesnt matter where the round hits, but that it actually went off at all.
Link Posted: 12/10/2002 6:09:04 PM EDT
yeah ,after you mention anal, that really looks like an entry "gun" to me.

So stock dings affect accuracy on your weapons? Do you only own lorcins?

[Last Edit: 12/10/2002 6:28:22 PM EDT by Ponyboy]
If you think that's impressive then take a look at these.

Here you will see detailed pics of the scratches on my Win 1300, notice the mud on the pump.

Here you will see closeups of dirt on the stock that I didn't bother to clean off after the last time I took it out shooting. This pic was from a couple of months ago and I'm sure it's still there unless the gun cleaning fairy snuck into my safe and took care of it for me.

The funny thing is, I'll out shoot you with you using any weapon you have that's comparable to mine.

I'll look forward to your reply, they're mildly humorous.

i dont mean anything, brother im just a long distance shooter, please dont take any offence. your weapon is your choice , and if you are satisfied with it who am i to say it is not right for you. but if you missed i wouldnt, that is why i call you brother.

These aren't weapons, these are toys. Yes, they could be used as weapons, but that isn't what I bought them for. I bought them for shits and giggles. If you didn't sweat the small stuff so much you'd smile more and have a lot more fun in life.

shits and giggles are what gets people killed and gun control laws passed.
