Good for you!!! Let us know how the mags are when they arrive.

I also scored some mags on eBay for a good price. I won a auction for 4 mags, then eBay cancelled it (10rd rule). I told the seller that I'll still take them, they wanted to know why the auction was no good. Told them about the 10rd rule, they thought they only held 10rds. They then said they had 11 others they wanted to get rid of. I ended up getting 15 mags for $130 shipped! Ranged from 50-90% finish left on them. Should be some good range mags!

Hey guys i was suspicious about this too, i see many auctions on ebay that show mags that look to hold like 30 rounds, yet they allways say this mag holds only 10 rounds.. are they lying to get it past ebay and it really does hold 30? I was afriad to bid in case it actually does only hold 10 rounds then i look the fool! :)

I had just got back into the game after a few years. Got on Ebay and won 3 auctions for 5 mags each by the same seller. I got 15 85-90% mags shipped for $160. Not as good a deal as MAHABALI got, but I am happy.

On the flip side, I bought 1 sloppily "refinished" USGI 30 for around ten bucks. When it got here the body was date stamped 11/99. Needless to say, the seller took it back, and paid the return shipping.

Of course, I am probably on a list somewhere near DC...

Caveat Emptor.

My best purchase on e-bay was two used magazines for $24.50 shipped.

Yes, they are lying to get past e-bay rules. Most of the time they will post a picture of an obviously 30 rd. mag. next to a ruler for scale. They will also call it a pre-ban. If you are unsure e-mail them and ask. I have got some decent deals on range mags.

Lying? Oh My! I've seen some ads which state they will hold 10 rounds, they just left out "only."

I buy & sell on Ebay regularly, have won mag auctions and got some good deals,
but be aware - I got some POST-BAN 30rndrs mixxed in my "all preban" lot one time.
That sucked.

I have a friend that used to do that. He was tld that one more infraction and they would boot him off Ebay. (great loss there, not) Why thety singled him out we will never know. I still see those auctions all the time.

The other day I scored 2 new in wrap Centers, and 3 used/good GI mags for 57.00 shipped. you just have to be diligent. about 6 month's back I got 26 almost new USGI mags for $280 shipped.

You just have to be diligent, and lucky with Buy it now.

I am an admitted Ebay-aholic.

Glad someone gets a good deal on ebay. My expirence is that bidders bid way to much for the items up for auction. I can usually get the item I want for less by just ordering one from the manufacturer. A good example would be an AR15 flat top upper w/high rise, 20" 1-9 ss bbl w/float tube. I bought one new for $325.00 and the bid on the very same item (same mfg) was well over $100+ what I paid for mine. People must just get caught up in the excitement of the bidding.

I got a complete Beretta 92 Parts set for $42
Some guy had a TON of guns w/o receivers. Probably a pawn shop dealing in stolen guns or something...
I parted them out, an re-sold them on e-bay for $320 all toegther.

There are some good deals to be had. The trick is knowing how much is too much and when to walk away, just like at any auction.
I just won an auction for a Surefire M510A, and got it for $201.50. Anyone familiar with Surefire prices will tell you that's a great deal. I often see them selling for upwards of $350, which is too much considering what you can just buy one for.

Got a little worried that my NIW I just got may have been postban, but not even close, 04/92 stamped on them... Tanks for the info MAHABALI

A little over 3 years ago I bid on and won (sniped) 3 NEW Colt 32rd 9mm mags for $55.00 ea.
When I contacted the seller for payment details he told me he had 5 more mags in the same condition that he would sell me at the same $55.00 price. I offered him $425.00 for all 8 shipped.. And he agreed!

I later sold the original 3 mags for $125.00ea and well.. you do the math .

I TOTALLY agree with you man! they see a pic and just fall in love with the item and get bid crazy!! i've seen items go there for alot more then normal retail prices!! people are just idiots!! but sometimes you can get a good deal if your searching for an item that not many people are :)

here is my favorite search string for AR related tiems:

-airsoft (ar15,ar-15,ar 15,m16,m 16,m-16)

Just cut and paste it (including syntax) in the SEARCH box on ebay.

It Found 1042 items this morning, 1119 if you take out the airsoft exclusion.

Hope this helps

Do a search for AR-15, USGI, mag or magazine, that usually pulls up everything of value.
