Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Ar 20" cut to 16"

I have a barrel that was a 20" M-16A2 barrel (the one that is heavy from the sight tower to the end) that I cut to 16", threaded it and put a birdcage on.
I have read on here that they won't work ( not enough barrel, port pressure, ect ) hence, the Bushmaster Dissipator.
I have put over 1200rds through this gun and it works fine. Is mine the only one?

Most do, some don't. It normally is only an issue in select fire weapons.

That's how I built up my girlfriend's rifle.  Functions 100%.
