Nothing says the high bidder's from CA. Could be any numbskull that doesn't know what the real thing costs. I've seen people bid as high as $20 apiece for nylon grenade pouches that can be bought for 3 bucks. |

Did I read this right in the description:
"YOu are bidding on ONE unit." This guy has more money than brains!!!! Looking at his feedback, he's bid on some interesting things in the past; survival manuals, sattelite dishes, PRC 68s, bullet proof vests, a go kart chassis, helmets, a racing suit, etc. Who is this guy, the Omega Man?

i jsut emailed one of the bidders to find out what the deal was. i mentioned that 80% receviers are generally available for 100.00 or so and wondered if there was something special about this one. i'll let you know what he says. (maybe those of you that have some extras on hand could sell to to the other bidders this way and make a few bucks.)
also, what is the deal with the dremel finishing capability. didn't the .50cal kit guy get in trouble because the kit was too easy to finish? |

I the description, it says that you are bidding on only one.
I also can not believe a guy from Irvine CA would post that he has 8 AR15s...  (Copy of description) I've got two of these 80% complete AR lower receivers. These are the best I've encountered; mags insert, many parts already fit. Just drill/tap some holes and you've got an AR that you built yourself. With these, I've got 8 AR's so these have gotta go. I will provide winner with contact that rents drilling fixtures, etc. However you could get this functional very easily with a Dremel and a parts kit. I will provide blueprints, if I can still find them, to help, as well. You won't be disappointed with these... perfect way to build a 'clean' AR in any configuration you want (legal, of course, and all NFA rules apply). YOu are bidding on ONE unit. I accept paypal funds originating from CASH only, USPS Money order, NT$, and KR Won. If you want to pay another way, email me, we can work it out. I ship USPS or FEDEX only. NOTE TO EBAY: THE ATF had ruled that this is a NON-GUN, because it is incomplete and requires a specific minimim amount of time to complete. |

i mentioned that i was going to email one of the bidders and see why he was paying such a high price. here is the response..
"THe receiver cannot be purchased in california. Thats why. There are many states where you cannot get them due to draconian laws re assault weapons. ANd if you know where I can get receivers for 100 let me know I might want to buy a couple." Is it even true you can't buy them in california? |
