My screen name indicates I am a *small* fan of Sig handguns.  But, I have a quick question.

Does anyone know the story is on the litany of "Demo" guns that are in shops now is?  Were these demo guns to LE agencies that ran them through the ringers?  Were they Rep guns?  I ran across one that seems like a fantastic deal....awesome trigger, finish is *near* perfect, "W.Germany" stamp....priced right at $600.

I'm not familear w/ the 'demo' firearms in the market now.  I have seen 'used' Sigs listed in various wholesale catalogs/flyers.

Well, like any used firearm purchase, the buyer has to look at the firearm carefully.  Ask the dealer which distributor the gun came from or if it came right from Sig to the distributor.  Used is used.  Look at it like a used gun.  Check the trigger, springs, fit, function and so on.

If it is a demo that has been 'referbed' by Sig, it should have the warranty and there for a good purchase.  Other then that, treat it as a used gun and look for signs of abuse.  I'm not sure what else I can add.

We got some of our demo Sigs in today.  They are unfired rep guns.  The box has Law Enforcement silkscreened on it.  The look perfect.  We also got some more Glock 22 reburbs with night sites and one DF and one NDF hicap.  If the Sigs were refurbs like the Glocks they would be sold as such.
