It sounds to be in the range of pre-ban rifles, I assume it is a Colt?

This is not a steal but is a very fair deal. Fair for both you and the seller.

In the current market, $1400 for a mint Colt R6550 Gov't Model is a very good deal. I'd buy it myself.

Let me correct my sorry self !!

Finally penetrated which AR this dude is - made only from 1988 - 1990 and in excellent condition worth about $1800. Maybe as much as $2000. (Sometimes referred to as the USMC model.)

Guys, I bought them both today. One is a new 6700 Sporter Competition that is 100% and the other one was the AR-15 A2 Govt Model. All were factory orginal and just like new. BTW, the A2 had a small red rubber thing inside. I have never seen one of these before inside the gun. I was able to get them both for $2800 and 10 FREE like new Colt 20 rounders. I will more than likely have them at the Louisville show this coming weekend. I am going to try to trade these on an HK 94 if I can find one, or sell them out right. What do you think I should ask for them at the show? I was thinking around $1500-$1600 each.
