I've got a new Colt HBAR.  Should I be using 5.56mm ammunition or regular .223 Remington?  So far I've put 200+ rounds of 5.56 and I just bought 1000 rounds of Lake City.

Your HBAR Colt is chambered for 5.56mm. Use it or .223 interchangeably. The Lake City that you bought is good ammo.
Good shooting to ya!

Blast away with either one. It dosn't really matter. Shoot the cheap stuff for fun, save the good ammo for the times you want peak performance.
