Anyone got the overall length of a folded preban Ruger Mini-14? [1989 stainless, w/  bare muzzle/no flash hider]

Better yet, anyone got the overall length of the barreled action alone, with removed stock & pistol grip?

[Why all this grief? I may be shipping this to an outta- Kalifornia. It's currently in "assault weapon" configuration. (Yes, PerataDavis, it's registered.) Rather than grief of sending it out thru a local registered AW dealer, I can temporarily remove offending features and ship the Mini in disassembled form straight to an outta-state FFL. Wanna ensure that length is still 26" if disassembled.]

Depending on your brand of folder, 29" w/o brake or other evil muzzle device.

Disassembled, 24 1/2"  

If disassembled it does not have to be over 26".  The law does not say it must be over 26" when taken apart.
