I have a Remington 700 Police, according to the label on the end of the box. There is no distinctive marking on the barrel, receiver or stock to indicate this.
I believe it's more the combination of features than any marking that signifies what it is: HS Precision stock with fat grip and foreend Heavy 26" barrel Two sling swivels up front |

They also have a matte-black parkerized finish, including a park'ed bolt. And they still come stock withOUT the stupid bolt safety lock that they're putting on the commercial guns now.

Costa Arms is about the cheapest I have seen on the PSS ($685) and the LTR ($720). They are made in both .223 and .308, but I do not know if he stocks both calibers or not. Same deal. Just more politically correct. No evil sounding Police Sniper System, just Police. Also helps Remington keep up the PC pretense that they can only sell the gun to their official LE Distributors who can only sell the gun to LE agencies and other FFLs. But the "other FFLs" can sell them to anybody they want to (that's us). Remington is getting really PC anal. Moe |
