I want to buy a shot gun receiver from someone in my state.  They are on the other side of the state.  What are my options for having it shipped to me legally?

Ohio is only about 4.5 hours wide. Why don't you see if the guy will meet you half way? With a fuel efficient car you might even save over shipping/insurance costs. I understand that might be inconvenient for either of you, but if you did it on a weekend you could possibly make a sightseeing trip out of it. There are plenty of historical landmarks in Ohio.
