I am looking into getting a folder for my 870 to make it more compact as a car gun. Would I be better off getting a top folder (like the factory Remington) or a side folder (like the Butler Creek)? Which stock would you suggest? Clearview Investments has a copy of the factory stock for $40, does anyone have any experience with it? Thanks.

I like this one except it is a little heavy I think it is by sage international. It telescopes.. and is well made..

I've been happy with my Chaote top folder.

Top folders are the only way to go (factory only) unless you want a side saddle (I do!).  I have not yet found a way to mount a side saddle with the factory stock, but you can mount a side saddle on the stock.

Thanks for the info. I can't stand to look at the Choate top folder, something about it just bugs me.
